Sigma Theta Tau - Delta Omnicron chapter
![]() The Delta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau conducted an Induction Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at the Holiday Inn Select, Lafayette, IN. Forty-one candidates were inducted. Purdue Professor Emerita Ann Hunt, PhD, RN, was the guest speaker. Her topic was "How Nurses Can Affect Healthcare Reform." Photos of the induction are available. Sigma Theta Tau is the honor society of nursing, which recognizes superior achievement and the development of leadership qualities, fosters high professional standards, encourages creative work, and strengthens commitment to the ideals of the profession. Invitations to join are extended to junior and senior undergraduate students, graduate students, and community leaders in nursing. The Purdue University chapter is Delta Omicron, which was chartered in 1980. During its 29 years, the chapter has grown and flourished through the efforts of its membership. The chapter and the School of Nursing have established a supportive relationship in which the goals and interests of both have been strengthened. We welcome you to our web page.
