Global Initiatives - MexicoNursing Students Without BordersThe Nursing Students Without Borders (NSWB) mission is to promote health empowerment through education, build networks to access health care resources, and distribute material donations to developing world communities, while expanding the perspective of the nursing student. NSWB is a student-run organization working on international health initiatives. The majority of members are nursing students, but healthcare professionals and other community members also contribute, according to a project's need. The initial NSWB chapter was founded in 1999 at the University of Virginia; visit their website at http://www.nswb.org/. The Purdue chapter of NSWB is developing an educational, clinical, and research project in Mexico. Members have also participated in the Brigada de Salud project in Honduras. |
