Research: Adult nursing with specialization in cardiovascular nursing

Dr. Yehle’s research is focused on improving self-care abilities, knowledge, and self-efficacy in older adults with heart failure. Her interdisciplinary research team is dedicated to developing interventions that improve health outcomes that are feasible, practical and cost effective, including interventions that are health literacy appropriate and easily incorporated into the patient care setting. Her interprofessional team also develops and tests interprofessional experiential labs for Nursing, Pharmacy, Dietetics, and Medical students. She mentors graduate and undergraduate students in Nursing, Pharmacy Practice, and Health Communication.  Dr. Yehle teaches Research and Socio-Cultural Influences on Health at the graduate level, and Issues in Professional Nursing at the undergraduate level.
