Patricia Coyle-Rogers received her Diploma in Nursing from Immanuel Hospital School of Nursing, Omaha, NE, BSN from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE, MSN from Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID, and PhD in Education from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

Research: Educational Background

Dr. Coyle-Roger's research interests include: Adaptive Competency Acquisition and student outcomes. She is involved with Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE) on projects such as effective flow and throughput in the hospital setting and LEAN Healthcare. Dr. Coyle-Rogers is a founding member of Healthcare Technical Assistance Program, a component of RCHE.

Dr. Coyle-Rogers is participating in the University Healthcare Systems: Nurse Residency Program in conjunction with IU and Clarion Health Systems.

Dr. Coyle-Rogers teaches courses on the dynamics and fundamentals of nursing. She also served as Director of Undergraduate Education (2006-2007) and Director of Lifelong Learning. Dr. Coyle-Rogers is the Director of Lifelong Learning,and Director of the RN to BSN program. She is an affiliate member of the Discovery Learning Center. Dr. Coyle-Rogers is also a member of the School of Nursing Leadership Team. She serves as a member of the Curriculum Committee. Dr. Coyle-Rogers is Chair for the Helen R. Johnson Leadership Conference Committee.
