Undergraduate Nursing Capstone

The Capstone Course is a clinical practicum focused on refining your clinical and leadership skills. The Capstone experience will help you enhance your patient management with multiple clients in a "real world setting."

You will complete your Capstone experience under the direction of a member of the facility staff who has been identified as a leader and mentor. The Capstone collaboration between facilities and the university help senior nursing students develop professional skills and improve patient outcomes.

Advantages to students:
  • Clinical skill development.
  • Improve practical clinical experience with identified leadership staff.
  • Improve your decision-making skills in the clinical setting.
  • Enhance knowledge of theory principles as applied to patient outcomes in real settings.
  • Improve your confidence to pass the N-CLEX exam and enter the job force.
  • Improve marketability to area specialty employers.
